My name is Sandy Christie my work has no set media my recent books Sandy Meets explores the myth and cult of the celebrity and turns it on its head by adding Scottish colloquialisms into the mix. Sandy's role as a close friend or neighbour reduces the notion of celebrity to the everyday; whilst adding an imaginative spin to each scenario. My exhibitions and other works paintings and drawings films etc adopts the same methods as the books taking the everyday into the fantastical with dashing bands of colour as if it were a huge neon landscape the use of colour in my work is very important as colour feeds the senses I like to make sure I achieve an essential balance some of my large scale paintings I am developing them into free standing pieces they seem to magnify there presence more creating better dimensions in the space.
